Check-in: When you arrive at our center we ask that you check-in at the registration desk to verify personal, escort and insurance information. Please be sure to bring your photo ID, insurance card (s) and form of payment if applicable.
Following Admission: After completing registration, patients are escorted to a pre-operative/pre-procedure area where vital signs are taken and an IV started, if necessary. Your surgeon may visit you in the pre-op area prior to the surgery/procedure. If your surgery/procedure requires anesthesia, an anesthesiologist will also visit with you and discuss your choices of anesthesia. Your nurse and physician will verify the surgical procedure and site with you. In most cases, you, your physician, and a staff nurse will validate the surgical site with an indelible pen for the purpose of proper site verification.
